The famous Parisian stadium, the Parc des Princes, is one of the largest and oldest stadiums in France. What used to be the home to the French football and rugby national teams, it was traded in for the new younger model when the Stade de France was built for the 1998 FIFA World Cup. It has been the home ground of the Paris Saint Germain football team (PSG) since 1974 and they still play all their home matches here.
PSG have been the dominant force in Ligue 1 over the last few years and there will rarely be a spare seat amongst the 50,000, creating a wall of noise whenever the French giants (not literally) play. Another thing these 50,000 thousand people tend to create is traffic!
To avoid parking problems, book your place in the Porte de Saint-Cloud car park. On Avenue du Parc des Princes, this car park is right in front of the stadium. If you feel like parking close to the stadium, Porte d’Auteuil car park is on Avenue du Général Sarrail and less than 10 minutes’ walk from the Parc des Princes. These two car parks offer fantastic parking passes specially for the PSG matches.
Careful! These passes are on sale only on ParkingsdeParis.com ;)
