About the car park
Car park near the Louvre Museum The Louvre Samaritaine car park is in the ultimate spot, directly opposite the Louvre! Cross the Rue de l'Amiral de Coligny and walk over the courtyard, Cour Carrée and there she is, the world’s largest museum with the famous Pyramid du Louvre standing outside. The crowds flock from all corners of the globe to admire the countless artefacts and artworks that have been collected over the centuries, including of course the Mona Lisa by Leonardo da Vinci. Another historic site you can visit is the Saint-Germain l'Auxerrois church, one of the oldest churches in Paris, dating all the way back to the 7th century! It has been altered much over the years and is a delicious cocktail of Roman, Gothic and Renaissance architecture. The bridge, Pont des Arts gives you a great view down – or up! - the Seine and just on the other side of the bridge is the Institut de France. You really are in the belly of the beast here with the Palais Royal, Notre-Dame, the Centre Pompidou and much more all within easy walking distance. For a bit of a break from the cultural and a nice swing towards the retail, go and have a nose around the Forum des Halles and find all your favourite brands lurking there! In short, Samaritaine is right in the centre of Paris and from here you have the opportunity to start a sightseeing tour of the city as soon as you arrive!
