The Center des Nouvelles Industries et Technologies (CNIT) is in La Défense, the business district of Paris. It was built as one of the first buildings in the district and opened in 1958.
La Défense is a must for modern architecture, and is truly unmissable purely because it doesn’t correspond to the classical image of Paris. Here you feel like you’ve entered into a completely different world. Step inside and discover the Paris of glass and steel and imposing skyscrapers!
Once you arrive at the CNIT, you will immediately notice its unique design. The wide-span concrete structure, with façades made entirely of glass, is unusual and unmistakable. In the centre itself, you will find no support - columns or anything – in the whole building. Impressive or what?! It is the world's largest concrete roof without any structural support. :O
The CNIT regularly hosts interesting trade fairs and conferences. But there is much more to discover - now they have added many shops and restaurants in the modern building.
Want to explore the exhibition centre but don’t know where to park? Not a problem! With ParkingsdeParis.com you will find the right parking space in every district of Paris. Have a snoop around our website and find the perfect place for you!
Of course, there is much more to discover in La Défense. From the CNIT you can walk directly to the Grande Arche, a modern triumphal arch, or the Les Quatre Temps shopping centre, where you can indulge in a bit of retail therapy.
Book a car park in advance and set out on your sightseeing or shopping tour in La Défense!
